PCB Board & Component Requirements for Auto Insertion
Pallet Board Requirements
Section titled “Pallet Board Requirements”- Pallet shape should be rectangular or square.
- Maximum sizes depend on the machine head count; minimum size is 70 mm x 70 mm.
- Total pallet + PCB weight should not exceed 5 kg.
- The height difference between the insertion surface and the positioning surface on the track must be within 0.5 mm, and the PCB must not shake after positioning.
Bare Board Requirements
Section titled “Bare Board Requirements”- Board shape should be rectangular or square.
- Leave at least 5 mm board edge for passing; boards without an edge need a fixture clamping position.
- Provide at least two clear mark points for camera positioning.
- Avoid circuits within 3 mm around the board edge to prevent crushing.
Component Spacing Requirements
Section titled “Component Spacing Requirements”- Leave at least 1 mm clearance around components that are picked by suction.
- For gripper-fed parts without a suction surface, leave at least 5 mm clearance on both sides.
- No interfering components around the insertion area before the machine runs.
